Clojurescript Meetup

  • Aug 25, 2014 · 6:30 PM

After too long, we're finally back, and we've got a great set of talks lined up for you - Now that Om has been around for a bit, we can dive in a bit deeper. We will have a few lightning talks, Anton talking about http://textik.com, Diogo discussing Om, and Danny will give a talk on the challenges of working with Om from a designer's PoV. Then Daniel from CircleCI will be talking about converting their whole site from Knockout to Om, the benefits and drawbacks, and what the conversion looked like. These are real-world battle stories, so if you're at all interested in what Om looks like after the honeymoon period, make sure to come by!

As always a big thanks to Etsy who has graciously provided a space, food, and drinks for our meetups!

Drinks and chats at 6:30PM, talks at 7:00PM

Thanks to the organizers for making this happen! I don't think we could have learned and built as much as we have without it. (:

I've uploaded my "slides" here: http://htmlpreview.github.io/?https://github.com/diogo149/om-no/blob/master/notes.html.

If anyone has questions about anything (though probably not the Om api since I didn't use the latest version) feel free to contact me: [masked].

I wish I could make it tonight - we're working with Om and loving it so far (although it's a steep learning curve). I hope the slidedecks etc will be made available afterward? And I guess it's too much to hope for that the talks might be recorded?

Hey Sean, unfortunately we don't have anyone to record it for us this time around, but we're aiming to publish the Q&A if there are enough.
