Using Actuate BIRT to Deliver Real Time Data Visualizations

Learn how to create nimble BI applications from any variety of disparate data sources, including any data warehouse you may be using, in real time with minimal development effort.  The toughest problem in IT today is the exploding number of new data sources and making sense of huge volumes of data being collected.  We will show you how our customers like AT&T and Bank of America  use the BIRT iHub to create reports and dashboards using multiple data sources through a simple drag and drop interface.

During this meetup you will learn:

•  How to visualize data from query to content in less than 15 minutes

•  How to create a virtualized data infrastructure using every data source imaginable, from CSV files to MongoDB

•  How to use Actuate BIRT to quickly develop and deploy interactive web applications

About the Speaker:

Bill Clark has over 20 years of experience in the software industry in various roles including: dba, project lead, web application developer, and technical sales. Bill joined Actuate after implementing a BIRT OS implementation for an enterprise application used worldwide by 50 Fortune 500 corporations. Prior to using BIRT, Bill wrote J2EE application reports the hard way, including a Google Map truck fleet application. He thinks he could have implemented the same application in BIRT in a tenth of the time.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
