Celebrate Container-giving!

Looking for something to be thankful about this Thanksgiving? Well, we're pleased as punch to announce that a handful of CoreOS (http://www.coreos.com)' team will be coming in to discuss Containers with us!

Presenters:

Derek Gonyeo, Intro to acbuild: The App Container Build System - Derek is a CS student at RIT and rkt engineer at CoreOS.

Chance Zibolski, Building the Layers of the Scalable Cluster -Chance is a software engineer at CoreOS working on both the Tectonic and open source development teams at CoreOS, building technologies that power microservice-oriented applications. In his free time, he has been working on improving developer interaction with containers by using rkt, a container runtime built by CoreOS, and acbuild wherever possible within CoreOS.

Jonathan Boulle, Scaling Distributed Systems with etcd -Jonathan is Team Lead at CoreOS.

BTW, CoreOS is designed for security, consistency, and reliability. Instead of installing packages via yum or apt, CoreOS uses Linux containers to manage your services at a higher level of abstraction. A single service's code and all dependencies are packaged within a container that can be run on one or many CoreOS machines.
