July Meetup: How To Use Kickstarter To Fund Your Novel

Hello everyone,

Please mark your calendars for Sunday, July 15th for our next meetup. As usual, we'll go around the table for updates on our projects or if you're new, introduce yourself and your book(s) to the group.

Then we'll turn things over to group member, Scott James.

Scott James will present about how self-publishing authors can use Kickstarter to fund a novel or similar project. He raised over $9,000 on Kickstarter for his own forthcoming novel, Sidewalk Ritual, and the larger Social Publishing project ( http://bit.ly/socialpublishing ).

He will talk about how to plan, run, and promote a campaign based on his own successes and challenges. A self-publishing author and marketing consultant, he is currently working with other authors and independent creatives on a variety of campaigns as part of his Redhat Project (http://redhatproject.com/) (http://redhatproject.com).
