Design Sprint : Web Products for Small Business
Details
Food and drink will be provided
Learn about and design mind blowing web products with local business owners and web developers.
The design sprint will focus on quickly whiteboarding, wireframing and designing a “web app” built into a website.
We define a “web app” as any type of plug-in, extension or drag and drop utility; such as a contact form, blog or social media feed.
Purpose:
SMBs are generally product or service experts. Without having knowledge of their unique industries and markets, they would fail. While they are experts in their individual fields, they sometimes lack the technical expertise that can help bring their product or service to a larger online market
Developers are technical experts. If you provide a direction for there talents, they can basically build anything you want on the web. While Developers are technical wizards, they sometimes have difficulty with product management skills.
Goal:
In the time given, build out small teams of SMB’s and developers who quickly brainstorm new web applications that may not yet exist in any marketplace. In doing so, developers will learn about small business needs and SMBs will learn about what can and cannot be done in a virtual marketplace.
