What got you interested in this group? (Are you here for the programming languages, the theorems, or the types?)

What's your favorite programming language?

Haskell at the moment, although I've been getting more into ML.

What 's one thing your favorite programming language does wrong, and how would you fix it?

It baffles me when languages don't have support for destructuring union types.

What programming-language-related or type-theoretic idea are you most curious about, or most intrigued by?

I really enjoy the UX piece of PLT - which includes designing the core metaphors (types, classes, objects, what have you) to be simple, powerful, and to foster a large common understanding between the compiler and the programmer. My pet project is a language that scales up to large programs and down to small shell-like one-liners. It's been in the design phase for a long time.

Who would win in a fight: Ada Lovelace with the power of flight, or Alonzo Church with the power of invisibility?

Languages fascinate me. I'm currently developing a language for GoodGuide.
