Last year over 150 IoT companies raised more than $1 billion in early-stage capital and the market is growing. IoT refers to technologies that connect to the Internet and to each other through sensors, wireless networks as well as other “machine to machine” methods. Their are two key markets: consumer and commercial. Examples of consumer products and hardware are Fitbit, August, Pebble and Nest. On the other end of the spectrum, the commercial opportunities connects assets to software to increase the efficiency of every industry.

Software on the Internet connects servers to physical objects such as cars, appliances, machines, devices, component. The smart phone is used by consumers to connect and control these devices. This creates new opportunities for hardware manufacturing and software design.

Startups can register to pitch for 3 to 5 minutes on relevant session; followed by 2 to 4 minutes comments from judges. The judges evaluate the pitches and investment prospects for the company. Each session consists of a one hour panel by investors and startups, and 50 minutes of venture pitch presentations for 3-5 minutes each. In order to pitch, register for DEMO PITCH item above.
