Sonoma County Ride - Train for the WCC number 3

On this ride, we will ride most of the rest of the Wine Country Century metric route, but will loop back up to Healdsburg once we descend from the long Chalk Hill climb rather than riding south to the Santa Rosa WCC start.
Once again, we will start at the Healdsburg City Hall at 401 Grove Street. From there we'll head north this time to catch up the the WCC route in Alexander Valley where we left off on WCC Training 2. From there, we'll head out to the north end of Chalk Hill Rd. This bit contains the hardest climb of the WCC metric route. From the south end of Chalk Hill Rd we'll loop back to Healdsburg to end the ride.

Sorry, won't be joining you folks after all for today's ride. Feeling physically a bit off this week and not sleeping too well, so plan to take it easy this weekend. Hope the weather is great and the ride fun.

    John's planned route:

If you want to export a .gpx file to copy to your smart phone with a GPS app or a Garmin GPS device, click on the Export tab and select accordingly. I select GPX Track for my Android phone with My Tracks installed.

OK, sorry, I should have posted this a week or 2 ago. I mapped the this PM (after being called away this AM) on this time - it seems easier to use than Mapmyride. The ride is named BARC WCC prep ride tres - and I made it public so everyone can see it. It starts in Healdsburg. The ride is 31 miles with 1031 feet of climbing (per ridewithgps). I'll have some cue sheets with me Saturday morning. See you there at 10!

For those who don't ride the WCC 2 training ride, directions to Healdsburg city hall: Exit 101 north at Central Healdsburg exit (Healdsburg Ave) and continue north on Healdsburg Ave. At the city square, turn left on W. Matheson or the next street (W. North St). Go 1 block and turn right (on Vine from Matheson or onto Grove from North St. Vine St. becomes Grove St. at W. North St.) City Hall is on the left (west) of Grove St. just north of W. North St. and the parking lot is just beyond the building.
