March's Fantasy - Heir of Novron by Michael J. Sullivan (Author Discussion)

Please join us as we discuss Heir of Novron by Northern Virginia's own Michael Sullivan, volume 3 of the Riyria Revelations (containing books 5 and 6: Wintertide and Percepliquis*). We're also lucky enough to have the author joining us for the discussion (and sign your books, if you'd like)! Space is limited for this event, but a waiting list is available. Please keep your RSVP updated and accurate!*

From Amazon:

The New Empire intends to mark its victory over the Nationalists with a bloody celebration. On the high holiday of Wintertide, the Witch of Melengar will be burned and the Heir of Novron executed. On that same day the Empress faces a forced marriage, with a fatal accident soon to follow. The New Empire is confident in the totality of its triumph but there's just one problem-Royce and Hadrian have finally found the Heir of Novron and they have their own holiday plans.

And so concludes the final tale of treachery and adventure, sword fighting and magic, myth and legend.

*If you've already purchased Wintertide, you can buy a copy of Percepliquis here. If not, however, the new Orbit copies are very well-priced. For those new to the series, Heir of Novron is preceded by Theft of Swords and Rise of Empire.

*Since missing one of these meetups is taking a spot away from someone else who wants to go, we'll need to have a stricter attendance policy than normal. For book discussions, 3 no-shows in a rolling 3-month period will prohibit you from attending any other book discussion for 2 months after your last no-show. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation!

This was a great discussion. It was very interesting to hear about the author's intentions in writing various scenes and characters, and how the readers interpreted the same.

This was my first time meeting an author. It was great that I took away what the author wanted me to take away from his series. The books were a great romping adventure!!

This was a really great meetup. As always, it was wonderful to have Mike & Robin join us for the discussion, and it was great being able to talk through the clues and foreshadowing throughout the series and see who picked up on what, etc.

The book was excellent, a strong and and layered finish to the series.

Really great session today! Thanx especially to Robin and Mike for attending! As always, Mike and Robin shared some phenomenal insights into the creation, development, and publishing of this amazing series - "The Riyria Revelations". Some great comments and observations from the group made for a really interactive exchange. I look forward to re-reading the entire series, non-stop, to catch all of the subtleties that were built into the framework of the adventure. Great meet-up event!

It is likely I will miss the meetup due to emergency car repairs, but since there is no wait list right now I will wait to update until I have more information in the morning.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
