Encino Jam this weekend from BASC

Hey everyone.  The monthly BASC jam is this Sunday in Encino.

This is a really good jam and with good weather it can be epic.  The weather looks good.

You can read all about it in the calendar section at:

http://www.socalbluegrass.org/

This jam welcomes players of all levels from beginner to pro.  If you have any questions at all, the folks here will be happy to share their experience.

This is a Bluegrass jam so the tunes are pretty traditional bluegrass.  Typically, there's not much Beatles or Dead (though often a splinter group forms their own jam at the jam and they often go off into Django and the like).  If you can play these chords CAGED and you own a capo, you'll be just fine with 90% of what's played.

This facility has a clean indoor non-public bathroom, very nice gated/fenced playground for kids with swings and slides and climby things.  However, the playground is behind the building so when you're playing you're out of eye line with kiddies.  There is also pleanty of room to spread a blanket right next to the jam and just chill in the shade so bring some lunch and a couple friends.

Hope to see you there.

Phil
