Do you have ideas for our next Meetup?

Sci Fi & Fantasy in Colorado Springs needs your help with ideas for our next Meetup!

Hi folks, it's been 29 days since our first and most recent meetup social and we have 29 members of this group. The meetup social last month was very successful, we had 17 people show up and even one person (a Sci Fi fan but non member, buying ice cream) asked to sit in the group and chat. I would like to see this group have monthly socials but it's up to the members to say what they want to do.

I put a poll up the day I started this group but have only received a couple of votes on the choices for things to do for a social meetup. At the ice cream social many people said it was just nice to get together with like minded people and chat, and most said the ice cream shop was a good meetup location. I had one request for a restaurant meetup and I would like to have some suggestions on the location.

My only goal is that we can meet somewhere that doesn't have booths to impede us from chatting as a full group or breaking up into smaller groups. Also, many locations have a minimum the group has to spend in order for the group to use a meeting room. Rizuto's Ice Cream Shop, Panera Bread Co and The Egg & I are three places I am aware, which have a separate meeting room and no minimum for the group has to purchase in order to use the room.

I wanted to the first meetup to be in a public location, so people be comfortable with meeting new people. However, a BBQ, viewing of a Sci Fi or Fantasy movie or anything else someone wants to host, also makes for a great social meetup. So what do you all think? What do you all want to do? Is a weekend (AM or PM) meetup better than a evening weekday meetup? How would you like us to get together next?
