San Francisco Movie Makers Message Board › QUALITY vs QUANTITY
It's not about how many films we do here... its about how well we produce them.
A lot of people make films as a hobby and that's great. But just like any craft, you have to have patience and really focus on what makes the engine purr to the entire creative process.
Great Camera work, great Sound, Great Lighting and a Fantastic Performance. Let's not forget the Editing as well.. and the MUSIC.. oh Yes...SOUND DESIGN...
But even all of that isn't everything.. You have your script supervisor, your art director, your wardrobe and stylist..you have your 1st A.D.,,and your 2nd A.D.. your grip/electrics and don't forget the Catering..
Animators..graphics artists.. your marketing team...the list goes on and on..
But the most important person.. is the Executive Producer
Without Funding.. You will get NOTHING...
Yeah yeah.. you can shoot on a shoe string budget..pay your cast and crew peanuts... but if you want to quality, you have to invest in it.
Look at Youtube.. There's some really cool videos, Like FREDDIE WONG... and there's some videos out there that no one knows about that are amazing..and you know why.. because there's too much crap.. too much to scroll through.. you don't even know what to look for.
So you have to BRAND YOURSELF as a producer that makes quality productions.
And my vision is to walk away with a little respect.. with a vision that involves YOU..
