Talk & Discussion: What the World Needs from Translation

Translation is needed in a growing variety of contexts. From technical, literary, to personal needs and more, translation enables people to communicate, collaborate, and grow understanding for each other.

The goal of this meetup group is to help us be informed of the diverse practices of translation, keep up the standards for our own practice, and recognize that our work serves a greater purpose.

As the first discussion event of SF Translators, this meetup will include a talk about why I started this group, introductions from everyone, and then an open discussion about what the world needs from translation right now.
