Bridge to nowhere and beyond

Bridge to nowhere and beyond

Details

Please read this intro! This hike is not about the bridge itself, but it is about the wilderness past it. Please dont sign up if you think this is another bridge hike!

O.K. Peeps, Ive gone past the bridge countless times, and Ive actually gone all the way to Vincent gap. If you have been to the bridge and not gone past, you have missed some of the wildest places our mountains have to offer. You will get wet on this hike, but its worth it to go ino the heart of the Sheep Mountain Wilderness. Total miles will be 12+ , elevation gain 1000 feet+. Please be aware that this hike requires a full day, if you cant commit, please dont sign up.

We will start at the East Fork/Heaton Flats parking lot and begin our trip from there. Since this trip will be during a weekday, we should have no parking and crowd problems, which is also a double bonus, we will get to see the bridge without the crowds and jumpers.

We will stop from time to time, especially at the bridge, for people to rest and take pics, however, the pace will be moderately fast, being that this hike is not about the bridge, but what is beyond it. If you havnt read the intro, please go back to it now.

I hope to see some of you out there! Along with some bighorn sheep!
