Sometimes called the "Little 4" this is a nice trip using cross-country paths and fire-roads to visit 4 HPS-listed peaks in the Angeles National Forest, oops sorry, Monument. We start at Monte Cristo Camp, a few miles south of Mill Creek Summit and about 40 minutes of driving roughly north from our meeting point.

This is an advanced hike. Due to warm weather I recommend bringing plenty of water.

We will do the loop clockwise, starting with Rabbit Peak- this involves some dirt road hiking as well as an awkward route onto a ridge.

From there we ascend steeply to scenic Granite Peak. Like Pacifico, this one's got a lot of fun rocks to goof around on.

From there we follow a fire road to level Round Top.

Then we plummet down a ridge to a system of fire roads to end the ascending at Iron Mountain (#3 in HPS nomenclature).

Stats: approximately 10 miles, 3000' gain, much on steep cross-country use-trails.
