Explore the Mermaid Canyons (off the W Fork San Gabriel River)

Let's see what's going on with these enticingly named canyons. I haven't found much information, even though they are accessed by a paved (but not public) road.

We will attempt to ascend Little Mermaid Canyon first, and Big Mermaid Canyon second. There's some other options if these both prove to be a bust...

This is a potentially challenging hike. Be prepared for bushwhacking (long pants and shirt recommended) and walking through water or mud.
