San Garbriel Peak via Cobb Estate

Difficulty: 8/10, Very Strenuous

Distance: 20 Miles

Gain: Approx. 4600 ft.

Time: 9 - 10 hours

Pace: Moderate

We will begin our hike from Cobb Estate, go up to Echo Mountain, take castle canyon trail to Inspiration Point. We will take a break, then continue to Mt. Lowe, then San Gabriel Peak. There's 2 optional peaks, Mt. Disappointment & Mt. Markham.

I was there few weeks ago, some sections have of
Snow and Ice, Trek Poles are Required.

• How To Get There: From the 210, take the Lake Avenue exit north from Pasadena into Altadena. Continue on the road as it climbs a hill and park near the sharp left hand turn outside the Cobb Estate. You do not need an Adventure Pass to park on the street here.

Mt. Lowe - 5603 ft

Mt. Markham - 5742 ft

Mt. Disappointment -5960 ft

San Gabriel Peak - 6161 ft

PLEASE BRING: Sturdy shoes, poles if you use them, at least 2 liters of water, snacks or lunch, sunscreen, a hat, layers and your ten essentials.
