Details

The goal of this hike is to make it to Iron Fork or beyond, and return via the river route, checking out the horseshoe mine and the falls in Devil Gulch. This will be a long hike, with 1/3 of the trail cross country, and the other third on primitive trails. more details to follow, but this hike will take us into the narrows, possibly to Iron or Fish forks. On our return, we will skip the Bridge trail and take the river route past the Horseshoe mine and take a side trip to the falls in devils gulch and return downriver towards our cars.

I plan on making the bridge in under 3 hours or less, to allow time to spend the rest of the day exploring, so expect a quick pace to the bridge.

you will get wet on this hike! This is not a trip for water wimps, speed freeks, or slow pokes! This will be a small group, and we will stick together, but I am limiting this hike to 10+1. I already have 2 members Ive talked to about this, and it is already a go, so this post is to let the rest of the group know that we are going.

Unless bad weather cancels, of course!

Stats:

12+ miles round trip, minimum elevation gain ( this is a basic bridge hike with a hardcore twist)

Like I said, more to follow, but if you are curious about this hike, look at the photos on our meetup website.
