Mt. Baldy from the Villiage - Car shuttle

• Meetup Location: Manker Flats Parking Area

• Car Shuttle: We will meet at Manker Flat, carpool to the Village.

• Route: We go up bear flat, take the Ski Hut Trail back down to Maker Flat.

• Distance: 13 miles round trip

• Elevation: 5800 feet

• Duration: 8 - 10 Hours

• Difficulty: Very Strenuous

• Trailhead: From the 210 Freeway, driving east: Exit Baseline Road in Claremont. Turn left on Baseline. In one block turn right unto Padua Avenue. In 1.7 miles turn right onto Mt. Baldy Road (stop sign). After 7.2 miles you pass the Angles National Forest Mt. Baldy Visitor Center in Mt. Baldy Village. You can get a Forest Adventure Pass here. Continue a few miles up to Maker Flats.

• Parking Info: A National Forest Adventure Pass (http://www.fs.fed.us/r5/sanbernardino/ap/pass-options.shtml) is required for vehicles parked at this trailhead. They are available at Big5, Sport Chalet or Online vendors. Fees are $5.00 daily and $30.00 for an annual pass.

• Please Bring: At Least 4 Liters of Water, Flashlight or Headlamp, Sturdy shoes, Trekking Poles, Snacks or Lunch, Sunscreen, a Hat, Layers and your Ten Essentials. Don't forget to Bring a camera and share your pictures with us after the hike.

• Please Note:
  My hikes are for the strong at heart and will be moving at a good pace. There will be NO Sweeper and you are ultimately responsible for yourselves. I'm only here to lead you in the right direction, so please know your limits as this hike is a Butt-Kicker!!!
