Learn how a costume designer for the movie industry started her new career as a murder mystery writer!

Marjorie McCown spent 27 years working on the costumes for movies such as Forrest Gump, Apollo 13, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

Her murder mystery, Final Cut, was published in June 2023, is set behind the scenes of a big-budget Hollywood movie, and was chosen as an Amazon Editor's Pick in the best Mystery, Thriller, and Suspense category. The book was also selected by Deadly Pleasures Magazine as one of the best cozy mysteries of 2023.

The newest book, Star Struck, published on May 7, 2024.

Marjorie is a member of Sisters-in-Crime and Mystery Authors of America. Come and learn about her career and how she started to write murder mystery books!

Agatha’s Murder Mystery Dinner Party presented by ME Main Productions
Famous mystery novelist Agatha is in a bind because she can't find an ending to her new book!

So, she cleverly invites Sir Conan Doyle, Houdini, Edgar Allen Poe, Mary Shelley, and more guests to dinner with the fervent hope they will solve the mystery for her!

The MAIN is the home for music, comedy, film, theatre, visual art, classes and workshops, meetings and serves as the welcome center for visitors to Old Town Newhall. The venue has been around for 20 years but, as of February 2017 the City of Santa Clarita took over operation and management of the space.

The theater has been transformed into a multi-use arts center including a monthly rotating art gallery, and free programs every Thursday night.
