Details are now available.  This event will be a performance, and unlike other Meetups we have had, you must reserve in advance and donate (or use a comp).   Reservations must be made  on Brown Paper Tickets and your RSVP here  at Meetup.com does NOT get you in.

Here's what you'll get:

You'll see a world premiere of an adaptation of Arthur Conan Doyle's THE BLUE CARBUNCLE  performed as a staged reading by professional actors.

You'll enter and be offered some hot spiced cider.  Then  you'll be seated in a 90 seat concert hall, where opera singer Christine Sofiane will sing some of Holmes' favorite composers and a medley of Christmas tunes.  Next, host and curator Les Klinger will do a short lecture,  This is followed by the staged reading - a thirty minute  dramatization of Conan Doyle's famous Christmas Sherlock Holmes story -The Blue Carbuncle.

Following this you'll share refreshments  with the cast.

This is the second production of the Sherlock Holmes in Brentwood playreading series and the first sold out and had a repeat performance.  Because of the holidays, this play will be one time only.

Don't miss it!

From the selection of the music, to the story by Leslie Kliger, to the very funny reading of the Blue Carbuncle, it was a light-hearted evening that ended with me driving home with a smile.

I have a party that evening for which I've already RSVP'd 'yes'. I hope the show is a good one for those that go.

Sadly, I'll miss out. It's the same day as my son's orchestra concert. Hope everyone has fun, though!
