*** Update: We have revised the planning with MAS flights. Airfare costs have risen from SGD140 to SGD200. But we get better scheduling. People are welcomed to join us for part of the itinerary. However note that (1) we will not change the itinerary to suit them - meaning they may incur additional costs if our transport timing does not suit them & (2) we will apply the usual system of refunding unused portion of fees upon their departure from our schedule. ***
This event just made it into the G4 series!
The world famous Rainforest Music Festival is on again from Jun 28 to 30. Besides native performers, guests from around the world are invited.

Besides 'culture' we get to experience a wide range of hiking, ranging from the usual G Santubong & G Matang Serapi to the less visited G Penrissen. At 1300m (4300ft), G Penrissen is a genuine G4! In addition, we will visit Bau's toxic Blue Lake and explore the famous Fairy & Wind caves.

Estimated costs: SGD295 (Add SGD15 for non-Malaysians).
Covers: Ground transport, hostel, dinners and fees.
Exclude: F&B during hiking, airfare, Entry to Music Festival (RM123 per day)
Terms: No refunds unless event is cancelled by organizer but replacements are allowed.
Any excess $ left at end of event will be refunded to all present at the end of event.

To enable us to move quickly, I require payment upon RSVP. Only those who have paid will be moved from the Waiting List to Yes. Slot allocation is first pay first confirmed basis.
People who RSVP will be given payment instructions immediately and should proceed to book their air tickets ASAP.

Tentative Schedule:
Jun 28 Fri - Arrival & check-in
Jun 29 Sat - Hike #1 G Penrissen 1300m (4300ft)
Jun 30 Sun - Final day of Music festival
Jul 01 Mon - Hike #2 G Santubong 840m
Jul 02 Tue - Hike #3 G Matang Serapi or 1-way hike back.
Bau/Blue Lake/Caves activities will be slotted in morning portion of Music festival.
Best part, the revised schedule means participants need only take 2 days leave! But we cut out 1 day of music festival & eliminated some sightseeing.
== 2-in-1 series ==
A series of meet ups with at least 2 activities (usually at least 1 G4 or higher mountain) taking 2D1N or longer. 2-in-1 G4 is planned to be 1-step up from the well attended G1-G3 outings by CK Tan. We normally do it the backpacker way to create a more rugged sense of adventure and to make the event affordable by a large range of participants! Frankly, after 8+ hrs hiking, everything looks good anyway! We plan to have an activity in this series every 2~3 months as time permits.
