I had gone to an event at this venue about a month ago and had a very nice time.
The doors open at 9:00 PM. There will be an opening act which will probably come on between 9:30 and 9:45.
The last act I saw there didn't come on til about 11:45. I really hope this doesn't happen again though.

If you buy your tickets before January 14th, it is $10. After that date it is $15.
$20 at the door. You can also save $2.00 off of each ticket by sharing the link to facebook.
There is also a $3.00 service charge per ticket too. I just bought 2 and it came out to $22.00.
That is definitely a lot better than paying $20 the day of the event.
About the venue itself, they made it into a very classy looking club. It looks so much different than the last time I was in there which had to be about 20 years ago.
Valet parking only which is $5. Obviously, that does not include a gratuity for the person who bring your car to you.
Drink prices: Paid less than $6 for a mixed drink and less than $2 for a bottled water. I found this to be extremely reasonable. Perhaps they charge a bit more when they don't have live entertainment. Wouldn't know though.
For those of you not familiar with the Sugar Hill Gang, they were one of the pioneers of original, old school rap. Definitely not the garbage you hear today. I was fortunate enough to see the entire group a few years ago and had my picture taken with them. Unfortunately, 2 members have passed away since then. They replaced one last year with Grand Master Flash, well known for the song "White Lines".
Figure they will go on late, maybe close to midnight.
Advanced ticket purchases are always recommended. Highly unlikely that it will sell out, but you never know.
If you have nothing better to do for 15 minutes, then sit back and listen. I know approximately 7 minutes of this song by heart and can do it al capello on command.
