What Rosemary M. is saying about this Meetup Group

I would like to encourage your group to discuss ways to welcome newcomers! While I enjoyed learning about the sea otters' behaviors on land and in water, I left wondering if this groups' behavior was inadvertently exclusionary to "outsiders" and I found myself wondering if I'd come back. I do believe that with just a small tweak in your welcome mat, your numbers would swell because 1st impressions really do matter! Perhaps you could consider having a small committee of people who take turns, at your various events, looking for and welcoming new faces; or as a whole, perhaps your group could be mindful of introducing themselves so that newcomers feel connected and welcome in the midst of such a large group. No offense to anyone! I just thought I'd share my experience with you and offer up my perspective...Why keep it to myself when perhaps I can affect positive change? Thanks everyone :)
