BIO Amy Cotler is a local food advocate, food writer, blogger and cooking teacher, who was an early leader in the farm to table movement in The States. She was the founding director of Berkshire Grown, a regional small farms advocacy group in Western Mass, and has consulted and worked with other such groups nationwide. Her last book was The Locavore Way, Discover and Enjoy the Pleasures of Locally Grown food, which is also a blog, radio show and Facebook page on how to seek out and savor local food foods. Amy also wrote the Massachusetts from to Table Cookbook, which was distributed to every school district in the Massachusetts. She currently produces an 2-day fundraiser for the Berkshire Botanical Garden with 10,000 attendees. Before she become engaged in local food advocacy, Amy worked as a chef, recipe developer and New York Times web forum host, and consultant for The Joy of Cooking.
