The "Joyful Noise Carolers" * FIRST REHEARSAL!

STSANY is forming a choral ensemble called "The Joyful Noise Singers"! I hope many of you will want to join as many projects are being planned.

First, we will be caroling this holiday season UNDER THE NAME "THE JOYFUL NOISE CAROLERS,"at senior residences (We already have a gig!), shelters and other venues, possibly including schools and hospitals. SINGERS - pro and non-pro, PIANISTS/KEYBOARDISTS, GUITARISTS are needed. We need at least a quartet for every performance.

Please come to our first rehearsal so we can begin singing together Christmas and Chanukah songs, mainly in English, but perhaps some in Spanish and other languages. Other cheerful songs are welcome. If you have some wonderful songs to share with us, please bring them to the rehearsal. If you know of places that would like to "hire" us, please let me know. if you have time, please contact them and pass on their response to me so I can book a date for us.

LET'S BRING CHEER TO OTHERS AND OURSELVES by singing beautiful, uplifting music during the holidays, which can be a depressing time for shut-ins and needy folks, not to mention the rest of us! THE JOYFUL NOISE CAROLERS is a purely voluntary group which welcomes friends of members to join us. The only pre-requisite is that they can carry a tune!!!!

PLEASE RSVP ASAP on the website! If you can't make it, or want to change your "Yes" to "No", please let me know. I (We) would appreciate it.

Cost: $10 to cover music copying and other expenses. Pay at the door, please. See you on Tuesday, November 1 from 7-9 p.m.! The next rehearsal will be on Saturday, November 5 from12-2, or 2-4. Watch for the meetup postings!
