SOS, Secular Organizations for Sobriety, also known as "Save OurSelves", provide a secular alternative to religiously based 12-step programs to counter addiction. While the name may imply an interest only in alcohol abuse the group deals with any addiction - alcohol, drug, eating, etc. The group will address these addictions without involving religious beliefs, but you do not need to be an atheist, agnostic or other free thinker to participate.

"This meetup is inactive but I've suggested a meetup to try and reboot it. If you go to the Suggested Meetups tab on the welcome page you can rsvp there. If we get another interested person then it'll trigger the meetup."

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
