SOS

Secular Organizations for Sobriety, also known as "Save OurSelves", provide a secular alternative to religiously based 12-step programs to counter addiction. While the name may imply an interest only in alcohol abuse the group deals with any addiction - alcohol, drug, eating, etc. The group will address these addictions without involving religious beliefs, but you do not need to be an atheist, agnostic or other free thinker to participate. Neither, do you need to make a reservation nor sign up for the meetup; just come on in if you are in need. Not everyone that attends comes from the meetup!

SOS meets each Saturday afternoon at the Westport Coffeehouse (back meeting room), 4010 Pennsylvania Ave., Kansas City, MO 64111.

If you would like further information, you can call Rebecca at 816-714-4002 or check out www.kcfreethought.org/sos .

Want to attend?

We meet every Saturday in the back meeting room at the Westport Coffeehouse, 4010 Pennsylvania, KCMO. You do not need to join the meetup or reserve. Just come on in. We will not ask you to accept the Lord or put your faith in a higher power. We just try to help each other!

What members are saying

I think that a group like this is one of many positive venues for expanding our thinking, and for meeting like-minded people, supportive people. ...
