New York, NY - - August 2009- - BrownFace LLC has announced that Soul Sessions Urban Music Showcase will now operate under Soul Sessions Music Group. The showcase, which launched in the fall of 2006, started as a platform for independent artists to perform for industry professionals and fans of urban music. In just three years, Soul Sessions quickly became one of the most sought after showcases in the New York area.

Soul Sessions Music Group was created to offer even more for the artists. In addition to the popular showcase, SSMG will provide services such as marketing, public relations, artist development, album release support, media productions and much more. "I love working with the artists that are drawn to the showcases, but beyond that, there is still a lot of work that needs to be done”, says Marsha Gauntlett-Kirby, CEO of BrownFace LLC. “I want to help the artists pursue what they love to do and am excited that there are already artists and industry professionals already on board to contribute to the success of this new venture.” Soul Sessions Music Group will launch its new website at www.soulsessionsmusicgroup.com and a new youtube channel, A Glimpse of Soul, in the coming months.

The Show must go on! Soul Sessions will proceed with its anniversary showcase in late October under SSMG, in collaboration with Cliff Jean-Pierre, CEO of Mélange Appeal. Mélange Appeal is an up and coming fashion and entertainment brand. With successful gospel showcases of his own under his belt, Mr. Jean-Pierre will bring fresh and innovative ideas, to an already brilliant show

We are currently looking for unsigned artist in the tri-state area including Philadelphia for upcoming event in October.
