SPARK is a group people committed to the well being of the single-parent family. Membership is open to all single parents of children under eighteen. Most of our members are in Montgomery County, and we serve the entire greater Washington, DC area with members throughout Maryland, Virginia, and DC.

Our mission is to build a community where single parents can share the knowledge and provide the mutual support needed to experience a rewarding life for ourselves while raising our children to be competent and well-adjusted people. We encourage our members to post events that will promote a balanced program of family, educational, and social activities - such as pot-luck dinners, outings, and activities with or without kids.

If you have an idea for an event, please make a suggestion and one of our organizers will "approve" the suggestion.
