Micro Car Museum in Madison Ga

This is the last weekend that this unique museum will be open. After that all the cars will be going up on auction and the doors will be closed forever.

The Bruce Weiner Microcar Museum seeks to pay tribute to the people who built and loved these wonderful vehicles, some of which achieved lasting fame, others sinking into obscurity. It hopes to bring this brief, colorful flowering of talent and ingenuity to the attention of a new generation of automobile enthusiasts.

It is currently the Largest Single Collection of Microcars in the World.

Very cool place to visit. Thanks for telling us about this. I would have otherwise missed it.

Very tough photo conditions, at least for me. Lots of people, lots of bad light and difficult reflections, lots of distractions -- but it was good to see all these unique cars before they hit the auction block.

    Is anyone interested in carpooling?

Yes. I live in NE Cobb, but can be flexible in meeting. Probably easier to just call me if any interest in carpooling. [masked]-0581. Stan

Thanks for the "alert" Ken, on the imminent closing of this incredible museum. I hadn't known about its existence and won't be able to join the group next Saturday due to biz travel. But as soon as I read your announcement yesterday, I headed out there on my own. Wonderful location for a shoot; lends itself to some great post-processing fun. Crowded yesterday - it surprised me so many folks knew about the place. Had to be careful with my tripod although it was fairly brightly lit. A particularly noteworthy spot is the "old candy shop" which is located at the far left rear corner of the museum - it was "made for HDR"! Lot's of colorful neon too - reflections galore. Have fun - wish I could join y'all.
