John Mariana will be presenting “Digital Composites – A Single Frame Story.”
John is a prolific photographer and instructor extraordinaire. John always has excellent suggestions to help with our own photography. We look forward to seeing you at this Learnshop.
John's Description of His Presentation
How do you create a fine art image from multiple images? Compositing is the art of combining multiple images or parts of multiple images into a new single image. I want my images to tell a story so I think of them as “Single Frame Stories.”
(For a complete description with photos, click here.)
In this program I will present and demonstrate the Fine Art Techniques I use in Photoshop (PS) using selections and layers to create “My Story”. I will present the concepts of image impact and storytelling.
A great quote from Leonardo da Vinci is “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.” Images with the most impact are those that have “simplicity” of concept, background, and content, telling a story in a single frame.
During the presentation I will show examples of my original image(s) and then the final composite image. Using Photoshop I will demonstrate the use of the tools to achieve images in my style.
