Meetup Shoot at Star Metals, Atlanta

Star Metals is a salvage and recycling business in downtown Atlanta at 1041 Howell Mill Road. The yard has a wide array of interesting scrap, junked machinery, and an old caboose. It is a terrific opportunity to capture abstract, macro, and unusual images. You will find a large set of example images on our website from our shoot there last February 2. Their Saturday hours are 9-12. There is limited parking on site, on the street and in nearby lots. Be sure to bring your tripod, macro and standard lenses, knee pads, and stout closed-toe shoes (open toed shoes are not allowed).
