Marvin Price has been able to secure a second date for the aquarium. However, we'll be splitting the number of people available with Roswell Photographic Society, 20 from each club for a total of 40 people.

Local photographer and SPS friend Marvin Price has offered to lead a group of photographers on an early expedition of the Georgia Aquarium (http://www.georgiaaquarium.org/). Marvin is a volunteer docent for the aquarium and has received approval to lead a small group of photographers into the aquarium an hour before the doors open for the public. You must pay for an aquarium ticket in advance. When purchasing your ticket (http://www.georgiaaquarium.org/acb/stores/1/createownpackages.aspx?prodid=%20687), think about which Dolphin show you would like to attend.

We'll meet at the entrance approximately around 8:30am where Marvin will give us his expertise on how to shoot effectively indoors at the aquarium. He'll then lead us in where you'll be allowed to go shoot any of the exhibits for an hour. Once the doors open for the public, Marvin will take us to the Grand Ballroom where you can shoot the great tank and the beluga tank without any reflecting lights and people in the way. We'll stay there an hour or you can then head to the Dolphin Show that will take place shortly. Your aquarium ticket includes the Dolphin Show so think ahead of time as to what time you would like to see it. A word of caution: no photography allowed during the performance.

One of the new exhibits is "Frogs - A Chorus of Colors" (http://www.georgiaaquarium.org/explore-the-aquarium/exhibits-and-galleries/frogs.aspx) which offers some great, colorful macro shots.

Very Important: This event is for paid SPS Members only. You need to make sure that Stephanie has received your SPS dues. Given the limited number of attendees, registered attendees for this meetup who do not have the "SPS Member" designation on your profile, will have their names removed from the attendee list.
