2012 NGC3 Shootout!

It's Shootout Time again!

The 2012 North Georgia Camera Club Council Shootout will take place on Saturday, October 6 at the Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center (http://www.nwgtcc.com/Home/Links/DirectionsMap/tabid/635/Default.aspx). Please RSVP to this meetup event by September 8 to give us an idea of how many people are attending. Cost is $15 per person.

The Shootout will begin at 8:00 AM and go until 6:00 PM. Participating clubs will compete to see who can create, process, and submit the best images in each of five categories - all in one day! After learning of the five categories that morning, photographers from each club will disperse into the community to capture the finest photos possible. They will then gather in their club's designated meeting room to download, select, process, and submit their photos to their club's team captain. Members of each club will submit their best photos in each of the five categories. The club team captain will submit the final choices to the Shootout judges by 3:00 PM.

Lunch will be available for purchase at the Trade Center.

An awards ceremony will include gift certificates, prizes and ribbons to individuals for the top 4 images in each category. Each club's cumulative points will be totaled to also determine the winning clubs. Great door prizes will be awarded throughout the day.

While the judges are deliberating that afternoon, participants and the public will be able to visit photography vendors, get their camera sensors cleaned, and attend Free Seminars presented by Shootout Sponsor, "Showcase Photo and Video" from Atlanta.

The photography potential in Dalton and Whitfield County is limitless and the typically fine weather in the first week of October will make this North Georgia Shootout a day of fun, photography, camaraderie and competition with a slate of fine judges.
