You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
Hello Members,
I invite you to join, and get closer to the action by getting on the entrepreneurship wave occurring today in the World.
Want to see new technologies and mobile services in your line of business - just get involve.
Helping Entrepreneurs succeed, by helping them evolve their ideas, find new team members, locate investors, get advice, network with other professionals in finances, marketing, business development, engineering, and in services, retail, wholesale and manufacturing industries.
Vision
SSV Network catalyzes a community of entrepreneurs, funders, service providers, and volunteers who benefit each other and provide a - virtual incubator - for enterprises, products, services, and business and social practices.
Roles and Benefits
Startup leaders - entrepreneurs starting new ventures and innovators within established organizations or communities - help themselves develop enterprises, products, and services by engaging sources of knowledge, services, and funds and by gaining coverage by journalists and bloggers.
Funders - such as angel investors, venture capitalists, and foundations - learn of and engage with high-potential startups and societal ventures.
Services providers - including subject-matter experts, lawyers, marketers, sales outsourcers, organization development consultants, human-resources services, management consultants, coaches, landlords, insurance providers, and prospective startup employees - find and engage with startup clients.
Volunteers - including students, faculty members, journalists, and bloggers - learn about marketplaces, enterprises, and communities; gain opportunities for research and careers; and help hone SV Startup Network community standards and other community-building services.
The Need
Traditionally, startup leaders, funders, services providers, and other people find each other haphazardly. Often, needs go unfulfilled for unfortunately long periods of time - perhaps forever. Startups flounder. Funders amass unused cash and numerous non-compelling business plans. Services providers devote much resource to marketing and selling, while not delivering as much value as they could and not sufficiently improving their services. Researchers and journalists have difficulty finding and indentifying significant developments. Societal progress meanders.
There is a need for more effective, efficient, self-generated matchmaking.
The Approach
SSV Network catalyzes a community that generates win-win relationships.
The following principles pertain.
- Community members develop principles by which the community functions.
- Community members market their value by posting useful information and advice.
- The community develops culture and techniques whereby community members can find each other via search, pull techniques (requests) and push techniques (marketing) and whereby individuals can determine the extent to which to participate via each technique.
- The community develops and uses standards, such as templates for describing value propositions, needs, and multi-party agreements.
- The community develops and uses mechanisms to validate relevance and trustworthiness.
