What clues do you see in our World / Society that trouble you ? What threatens us the most in your opinion ?

An immanent break down of society due to limited and poor allocation of resources. As student of Urban Studies at UPenn and having taken classes in international relations taught by internationally renown faculty (e.g. a consultant to the UN and State Department), I have been enlightened with pertinent information relating to the current state of global and domestic affairs (as well as future concerns). An example of my concern regards the US oil supply chain; if it were to be immediately cut and as a country we were to operate at full military and civilian capacity (energy and fuel-wise), our reserves would last 3 days at most. "JiT" delivery at its best. Our military industrial complex accounts for this and is the whole basis for our military strategy (hence recent media attention to the Straight of Hurmoz). This is scary knowledge because our perceived stability is nothing more than a farce. It is irrational to not be prepared.

What are you most interested in learning or sharing ?

Learning survival dynamics in an urban setting where population density is high and survival pressures are dramatically increased. I care most about the safety of my family and loved ones which has fostered my interest in urban defense tactics. I abhor the use of violence yet I recognize the necessity for the application of force (non-lethal and lethal) when left without choice. I've taken an interest in small arms and wish to further learn defensive skills for cqb, hand to hand combat, defensive knife fighting and everything in between. Defensive concerns aside, I actively seek to learn and practice non-defense related survival skills including: procuring water and food, wilderness survival (sometimes it's best to get away from the urban setting) and hunting which I never learned as a city boy. I would love to learn more about permaculture and sustainable living and urban agriculture. My trade-craft is still limited but my gf and I actively try to master our respective interests.
