Born Ohio. Wash. since 1975. 75 yr old male. Computer controlled (CNC) machinist but in many different jobs like nurse's aid in nursing home, janitor, oil rig worker in Gulf of Mex. MFA. Editor lit. mags and zines. Stories, poetry pub. in lit. mags.
Self-published 2 poetry books recently: "Gray House By Cold Mountain" and "Tenderfoot"—at Amazon. 4 complete novels. Currently rewriting one of them for style. Had a NYC agent long ago. Couldn’t place it. Goal? Get a book published before I die.
Want to thank all of you for your comments yesterday. I found each comment useful. Even those I have decided not to incorporate were useful because they made me think about readers and techniques and how they affect readers and what readers want and like. Most of my writing life, writing poetry specially, I didn't much consider my readers. What poet does? But prose writing is different, I believe. Thank you all again.
