What does being a better communicator look like to you? What does being a better leader look like to you? If you desire to become the person you pictured in your mind and have fun in the process, then Success Speaks Toastmasters Club is the place for you! We meet every 1st, 2nd and 4th Tuesday from 7:00-8:45 P.M. We learn how to become more effective communicators and leaders so we can enrich our professional and personal lives.

Individuals at any skill level of communication can benefit from Toastmasters. Whether you are a beginner speaker or a professional speaker, there is a path for you! Your path may be Visionary Communication where you are practicing the art of effectively crafting and communicating a vision. Or maybe your path is Presentation Mastery where you want to master the art of giving effective presentations, possibly as an aspiring professional speaker. Perhaps your path will be one of the 8 other paths to choose from. You can choose the path that works best for you and your goals! Toastmasters is a self-paced program where you start where you are and go as far as you desire to go.

In a typical meeting, you will see several speeches presented on a topic of the speaker’s choice, organized from the objectives of the project they are working on within their path. All speakers get immediate verbal and written feedback on things they did well and things they can improve for subsequent speeches.

After the speeches we will have Table Topics! This is where we speak from 1-2 minutes on a topic given to us on the spot by the Table Topic Master. This is to practice impromptu speaking; improving in our ability to respond better and more confidently to interview questions and any other moment where we are required to immediately think and speak on our feet. This is a very fun part of the meeting and often full of laughter as we never know what each Table Topic Speaker will say!

Snacks and food! Of course we have to have food at the meetings! We often have a nice selection of food at each meeting. We will have about 10-15 minutes during the break to eat snacks and socialize.

We would love for you to join us at our next meeting!

I would also like to note that, although individuals under 18 are welcomed to attend as a guest, they are not qualified by Toastmasters International to become a member. We can however organize youth leadership workshops for individuals under 18 years old if there is an interest for that type of program. Please let me know if you would like to see a youth leadership workshop and I will make that happen!

We look forward to meeting you soon!
