International Day of Mourning for Primates Killed at UCDavis.

Over 19 Primates were recently killed at UCDavis Primate Center!

In honor of memorial day, please come and let the people of Davis know what is going on at their own campus! Thousands of Primates, mice and foxes, and dogs, and bunnies and squirrels and chickens are tortured there for no value to humans. It is all about the MONEY they get for research!! Please come out and help us let the students and people of Davis that this takes place in their own backyard. UCDavis is one of the most egregious experimenting labs in the country! We must help get the message to the people as WE are the voice for all those who cannot speak. Please, help us stop the capture of baby primates from the wild only to be imprisoned and deprived of food and water, given poisons, drugs, and electric shocks to the brain for no reason other than Job security and MONEY!

What an honor to speak up for animals suffering in vain. Let's learn more about animal research or anti-vivisection and become informed! The National Anti Vivisection Society has a lot of important information. Here is a quote from Jane Goodall - "How should we relate to beings who look into mirrors and see themselves as individuals, who mourn companionship and die of grief, who have a consciousness of "self"? Don't they deserve to be treated with the same sort of consideration we accord to other highly sensitive beings: ourselves?"

I'd like to remind people that ONE OF THE BEST WAYS TO HELP STOP VIVI-SECTION or ANIMAL RESEARCH is to buy products that are cruelty-free. 7th Generation, Method and Tom's of Maine are cruelty-free. Also please get on the NAVS web site to see what companies and products are TESTERS. Also please read SACRED COWS AND GOLDEN GEESE by C. Ray Greek. It is a very good book about why vivi-section and experiments are/is still going on AFTER ALL OF THESE YEARS!!!!! Leaping is another good web site.

I made two signs for the last event, and gave one to another member. I will have one sign with me, but didn't have time to make another. I'll make at least one or two more for others who attend the NEXT event. I also have some, but getting low, on Anti vivisection pamphlets. I will order some very soon. Just being there is REALLY GOOD! Hope to see a lot of members take advantage of this great honor we have to 1) Stand up and speak for animals who suffer and cannot speak for themselves and 2) Protest ANYTHING we see as an injustice because WE ARE AMERICANS. God Bless!
