How to find us: Look for other Sac Vegans and our friends from North Bay Vegan Dinning Club!

Our plan is to carpool for the 2-2 1/2 hour drive to Farm Sanctuary. Camping space is provided at Farm Sanctuary or there are clean inexpensive motels in Orland--about 15 minutes from the sanctuary. The Sunday program runs just until noon so it is possible to drive home late Saturday night and still experience most of the Hoe Down. Please register on Farm Sanctuary Website if you plan to go!

California Country Hoe Down
At Farm Sanctuary’s annual Country Hoe Down at our California Shelter, guests will enjoy time quality meet-and-greet time with our rescued animal residents, feast on great vegan food and desserts, hear inspiring presentations from some of the movement’s most notable speakers, network with fellow farm animal advocates, and let loose at a lively barn dance. We are across the street from the Black Butte Lake and recreation area, 10 minutes west of Interstate 5. The farm is 30 miles west of Chico, and 100 miles north of Sacramento.

Our California visitor center includes educational displays, a cruelty-free gift shop, and a beautiful outdoor pavilion.
