January 2015 SAID Meeting

Hello Crusaders,

Happy Holidays to everyone! We are about to enter the New Year and with it comes some exciting times. The world of e-learning and instructional design is getting super interesting (did I just say "super"?) and I'm anxious to pick up where we left off last year.

This month we will be talking about Gamification. If fact, the title of this month's theme is "New Gamification Blueprint Helps You Start Meeting Employee Performance Goals"

I will be launching a Gamification Blueprint that I've created and I'm super excited! (did I just say "super" again?)

The meeting will be discussion-based and I'll be showing some examples that I've designed using gaming elements. I'd love to have you bring any examples you've done or been working on or would like to share, too!

We have a new meeting place! UC Davis has graciously offered the use of their wonderful facility for our January meeting and I couldn't be more thrilled. Thanks so much to Jennifer Keller for working with me and making all the arrangements.

Please go to the Discussions section of this Meetup site for the PDF with directions and logistics of the UC Davis facility. UC Davis Extension is conveniently located at 2901 K Street, Sacramento, between 29th and 30th and J and K streets. It is right off the Capitol City Freeway (Bus. 80).

Please note that there is a parking charge of $3.00.

There has been a lot of requests for information about Gamification. I'm happy to have this opportunity to share my knowledge and insights and experience on the topic and to get yours as well.
