Title: Beginning Hiking along pioneer express trail starting outside the Shadow Glen Stables.

We will hike from the stables to Sacramento Aquatic Park. Some new trails and some old.

Type: Training Hike Time to get some exercise in the evening after work.

Cool Features: American rivers, and of course YOU!

Description: We will park on the outside of the Shadow Glen Stables

Best time to visit: All Year

Elevation Gain/Loss: Climb to 100 feet and back over 3.5 miles

Terrain: Service Roads and Hiking Trails

Distance: 4- 5.0 Miles

Fitness Level: This is a relatively flat hike so walkers can join in.

Expected Duration: about 2 hours for the hike

Things to bring: Willingness to hike together as a group no matter what the speed of the slowest hiker. Willingness to stay between the sweeper and the leader.

Plus: Headlight or flashlight, 1 liters of Water, Snacks, Sunscreen, Bug Repellent, Appropriate footwear for safe travel on the surfaces of the hike.
