What do you know about permaculture?

I have learned that once you enter the permaculture rabbit hole you have to keep going to see where it will lead. If we seriously adopt these principles as a society we could possibly begin to heal the earth, and evolve towards our true path as a higher species, and stuarts of the planet. As individuals we must not wait for leaders to lead us. They will never lead us in the right direction. We can't wait for the main stream population to wake up, they are in a deep slumber.. If we know in our consciousness that humans must choose a new direction than it is up to us to begin to change things in our own life, and make a stand. Hopefully we can also join with others so that our actions will have a greater ripple effect. We also must resist the inherent corruption that so permeates our materialist me culture, and stay on an ethical trajectory.

Do you enjoy hands on projects?

Yes, I love hands on, that's how I really learn things.

What are you looking for from this group?

I am not sure what this group has to offer.

What permaculture emphasis grabs you the most? Sustainable gardening and farming, natural building, activism, cooporative communities, other?

Everything about permaculture intrigues me. Right now I am concentrating on the agriculture aspects, but eventually I would like to adopt many of the other principles to lessen my footprint on the planet. Can we actually turn it around so that our presence creates a net benefit? That is yet to be seen.

I am very interested in meeting other permaculture minded individuals. I love using permaculture methods to help create beautiful, rich, compost planting beds. I am turning my North Sacramento property into a permaculture based urban micro farm.

What Robert C. is saying about this Meetup Group

COULD BE BETTER. With over 300 members. I wonder what that means.
