Sahaja Meditation is meant for everyone who desires to find his or her true self, which is full of peace, joy of life and love for others. It is not just a book or a set of exercises but a living science that will open up to you gradually as your meditations become deeper and your experience stronger and more fulfilling.
Sahaja Meditation was developed by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. It involves the awakening of a subtle spiritual energy which lies dormant in the sacrum bone, rolled up in a spiral of three-and-a-half coils. The gentle awakening of this Spiritual energy and the inner journey of self discovery is known as Self-realization. Sahaja Meditation effortlessly helps you to rise into the state of "thoughtless" awareness, which we call Self-realization.
The experience can be felt on the fontanel bone area on the top of the head, palms and fingertips. It can be practiced by people of any age, and does not involve any physical exercises. Sahaja Meditation by regular practice brings balance to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual being.
The Spiritual energy can be awakened spontaneously by the power of Sahaja Meditation. The Spiritual energy has to ascend and pierce through six energy centres which are placed in the spinal cord and in the brain.
Sahaja Meditation means that a seeker of truth has birth-right to get his self-realization spontaneously. At the very outset, one has to be a seeker of truth and with scientific attitude one should approach the subject. It should be treated respectfully like a hypothesis and if found by experiments as truth, should be accepted by honest people in the spirit of honesty.
Our Easy to Learn & Practice - Meditation Meeting is held every Tuesday from 7:15 PM - 8:15 PM in meeting room of Rust Library, 380 Old Waterford Rd NW, Leesburg, VA 20175
(Mostly Room B - sometimes Room A or Large Meeting Room)
You could refer to the event board at the front of the library rooms for the room number. Please review our meetup schedule and RSVP.
New Comers are encouraged to come at 7:00 PM for their first meeting so that basics of Sahaja Meditation can be explained before our regular meeting starts.
There is no preparation required, just be there with an open mind and open heart :-).
