I teach a wide variety of classes including the following topics:
Wilderness Emergency Medicine (including Wilderness First Aid Certification), Bio-Regional Herbology (using native plants of the San Antonio region), Natural Medicine, Wildcrafting (Harvesting and preparation of wild plants), Herbology, Natural Health & Forest Gardening.
I also lead the San Antonio Wilderness Living and Primitive Skills Meetup ( http://www.meetup.com/san-antonio-wilderness-living-and-s...
).
as well as Survival Racing: http://www.meetup.com/san-antonio-survival-fitness-and-ra...![]()
My own background in herbology is that I studied with several different local herbalists and a botanist in CO. I taught wildcrafting and herbology for The Boulder School of Natural Medicine for their summer wildcrafting courses. I taught edible and medicinal plants to my own unit during my time as a US Special Forces Medic. I have used many, if not most, of the herbs I teach in both preventative care and first aid, both on myself and my family.
http://www.thehumanpath.com will give you more information about what this is about, and the types of skills that I teach.
Hi Everyone,
Before it gets too late into the colder months and cold/flu season, I'd like to make an herbal cough syrup.
We'll discuss the formula being used, and create the cough syrup together. We can plan on making at least 8 fl. ounces of cough syrup per person (there's usually more than we plan on, and never less). Read more
