April A to Z Blogging Challenge Kickoff

Never fear: the Blogging From A to Z Challenge is here!

The A to Z Challenge has been happening annually, online, during the month of April since 2011. The goal is to encourage writers to blog daily (with Sundays off for good behavior!) throughout the month, using one letter of the alphabet per day to direct your posts. Start with A on April 1, and keep going through the alphabet, one day at a time, ending with Z on April 30th.

Simple enough, right?

Since we're the Nonfiction Authors Association, we challenge you to write NONFICTION posts for this challenge. You can pick a theme for the month, or fly by the seat of your pants. How you decide to write is totally up to you! But whatever you choose, come join us at Janet's Montana Cafe for a "Sit Down, Shut Up and Write" style Meetup to find out how it works and get some blogging done.

3-3:30 PM: Find the group, chat with fellow bloggers, and learn more about the Challenge.

3:30-4:30 PM: Blog! One hour of quiet writing time.

4:30-5 PM: Chat about what you wrote, what you're having trouble with, or just enjoy each other's company. Still in the groove? Keep writing! We'll break up officially around 5 so you can get home in time for dinner.

Our April 1 Meetup will be a kickoff party of sorts. Bring your laptop, tablet, notebook and pen, colored pencils, crayons, or anything else you like to write with, grab a beverage or a snack, and let's write!
