I love getting off the pavement and wringing-out every ounce of performance mojo I've got in me. Currently focused on Obstacle and Trail racing. I like to go fast :)
I do several competitive obstacle course and trail races: Spartan, Xterra, Warrior Dash, etc., and have at least one race scheduled for each month in 2013. I just competed on the obstacle course television show, American Ninja Warrior which will air later this year.
I want to share and learn tips and techniques, and push and be pushed to get better.
I mix outdoor and gym workouts. Everything involves high endurance and high reps. I focus on being able to run fast for 3-10 miles, and power up hills, while I jump, climb, push, and pull weights or rocks along the way. When coaching others, I move at their pace; when training for my own race, my workouts are intense.
I typically finish obstacle course races and trails runs in the top 1% but keep finding new ways to get better. I want to consistently be in the top 10 of the Elite races.
