Tell us about your experience with obstacle course racing, past/upcoming.

I do several competitive obstacle course and trail races: Spartan, Xterra, Warrior Dash, etc., and have at least one race scheduled for each month in 2013. I just competed on the obstacle course television show, American Ninja Warrior that aired July 1st, 2013.

How can the group best help you with your racing?

I want to share and learn tips and techniques, and push and be pushed to get better.

What kind of training are you currently doing?

I mix outdoor and gym workouts. Everything involves high endurance and high reps. I focus on being able to run fast for 3-12 miles, and power up hills, while I jump, climb, push, and pull weights or rocks along the way. When coaching others, I move at their pace; when training for my own events, my workouts are intense.

What are your goals with obstacle course racing?

I typically finish obstacle course races and trails runs in the top 1% but keep finding new ways to get better. I want to consistently be in the top 10 of the Elite races.
