Hike description : Starting at Manker Flats, we will take the "Ski Hut" trail up. Once we summit Baldy, we will rest and enjoy the view at Mt. Baldy. After that, we will stop by West Baldy and Mt. Harwood. Finally we will take the "Devil's Backbone" trail back down to the parking lot.

Optional: Right before the parking lot we can stop by " The Notch" restaurant and grab a burger & beer. A 30 minute walk from the Notch to the lot.

Bring your "Micro-Spikes" in case we need them.
- Direction: From the new 210 Freeway extension, driving east: Exit Baseline Road in Claremont. Turn left on Baseline. In one block turn right unto Padua Avenue. In 1.7 miles turn right onto Mt. Baldy Road (stop sign). After 7.2 miles you pass the Angles National Forest Mt. Baldy Visitor Center in Mt. Baldy Village. You can get a Forest Adventure Pass here. Continue a few miles up to Maker Flats.
Parking Info: A National Forest Adventure Pass is required for parked vehicles parked. They are available at Big5, Sport Chalet or Online vendors. Fees are $5.00 daily and $30.00 for an annual pass.
Please Bring: At Least 3 Liters of Water, Sturdy shoes, Trekking Poles if you use them, Snacks or Lunch, Sunscreen, a Hat, Layers and your Ten Essentials. Don't forget to Bring a camera and share your pictures with us after the hike.
