Beginner hike to Mount Lawlor. Approximately 6 miles round trip and 1,300' of gain. Sierra Club says 3 hours round trip, lets make it 4, so we do not rush anyone. We will meet in La Canada at Flanders Rd and Wiladonda Dr. Exit 210 freeway at Angeles Crest Highway, and go north. Make a right on Milmada Dr, then immediate left on Flanders. Find a place to park.

From here, we will caravan/carpool to Red Box, approximately 15 miles up Angeles Crest Highway, at Mt. Wilson Road. We'll leave promptly at 9:15am, or earlier, if all RSVP's are there.

I have not hiked this peak before, but have hiked the same trail to Strawberry Peak.

Bring plenty of water (2 liters, but your personal choice), and appropriate shoes. A light trailrunner, or hiking boot would be the best.
