Starting time: 6AM to 3PM
Difficulty: Moderately strenuous
Minimum, 4 liters of water + electrolytes!

! NO BEGINNERS ! ( sorry )

Starting from Dawson Saddle (7903) we travel south 2.2 miles to Throop peak (9138), then 1.1 miles to Mt. Hawkins (8850), 0.8 miles to a junction (8390) and continue down to South Mt. Hawkins (7783) in which we pass through Middle Hawkins (8505) and Sadie Hawkins (8047) on a ridge. The hike offers stunning views of the San Gabriel Mountains and Sheep Mountain Wilderness. Bonus: Copter Ridge (7499), adding 4.6 miles and 1,351 feet of elevation gain, for a total of . . . 19 miles RT, 3,941 Elev. gain!

If we skip Copter Ridge, then our total mileage is 14 miles with 2,590 Elev. gain.
